A LIFE SAVING GIFT
Harper Green School has received a gift it hopes it never has to use. The Bolton ICD (implantable cardiac defibrillator) Support Group has raised money to donate defibrillators to local organisations, and chose Harper Green School as the first school to receive a defibrillator from them.
The Bolton ICD Support Group delivered an assembly, to our Year 8 pupils, to raise awareness of CPR and show pupils how to recognise a cardiac arrest and get help. At the end of the assembly the Group presented the school with a defibrillator. We are delighted to receive the life-saving equipment and would like to say a special thanks to The Bolton ICD Support Group who work tirelessly to raise funds to purchase automated external defibrillators to improve survival rates in people who suffer cardiac arrest in the local community.
